My brother used to bring me here when I was a kid. This was when the current rusting Little Bay Bridge was one of the bridges used to conduct traffic from Dover to Newington. The park has changed greatly! There is a playground, walkways, sidewalks, bike ???? trail , gazebo with seasonal picnic ???? tables , boat ? launch and areas to have a good ???? view of the Piscataqua River. The only disappointment was that the old Little Bay Bridge was closed ????. It would make a great pedestrian ???? bridge but I don't know if it is scheduled for renovations or dismantling. It has a great view of the sunset! This park is a great place to bring the kids and family pet ????.
Great place to sit back and relax and watch the boats go by. The ice cream truck came by too! And with porti-potties on premise, you can spend the day there. The bike trail goes right from there and it's a good starting spot. We biked around Great Bay!
Enjoyed a wonderful sunrise here!
Historical place of Dover and a nice getaway park to see the beauty of the back waters. Fact: The first settlement at Dover was made here at the southernmost point of Dover Neck and was called Hilton's Point after Edward and William Hilton. They were fish- mongers from London who, in 1623, established their fishing industry at this scenic site.
Favorite place to relax and unwind after work. I love seeing the hermit crabs and horseshoe crabs, and I spend a majority of my time here looking for oysters. So clean and peaceful, if I see trash I pick it up and throw it away, though it is very rare
