Hen House Cafe

I love visiting local diners and was lucky enough to find this one along the way. It was great the food was pretty good and prices very fair IMO it did take longer than usual to get the food but it felt fresh and it was hot so worth it for me ,service was awesome our waitress was very attentive and our coffee ? never fell below half a cup. Seating is limited and it looks like it's in high demand so it might take a minute to get seated be prepared and patient . All in all a great little diner with that homemade feel (try the country fried steak ???? it's awesome)

Great to see the Hen House open again, better than before!. A nice face lift, the food was a good value and Lisa's service was top notch. The best place in the area for breakfast and lunch. You will not be disappointed. As a follow up: the chicken fried steak was awesome! A great breakfast value for $11.50!

Went for a late breakfast and requested to sit outside with our dog(pet friendly area). Very busy, but had to ask 3 times as we waited around outside for empty tables to be cleared. We continued to wait with no help as a waitress (might I add, an angry waitress) started to clear a table outside while angrily whipping dishes around (very noticeable) and openly complaining about other staff. We still were not acknowledged to sit or wait a minute for a table. We decided to leave as this was not appearing to be a very friendly place. So sad as I read that the food was supposed to be very good.

Literally the best surprise I've had in a while. We were in the area after a hike and decided to treat ourselves to breakfast. Wow! Cooked and served to perfection. The best pancakes I've ever had and our server was amazing and sweet! We dont live nearby but are looking for an excuse to return very soon!

All around so happy we stopped in for breakfast! It’s the perfect Wisconsin diner breakfast. Our waitress was kind and attentive, service was fast, and the food was absolutely delicious. I mean, loads of toppings in my omelette and the cheese had a good pull, and the toast was properly buttered. Great value for the portion sizes too. This will definitely be our new breakfast spot!
