Gerardo's Authentic Mexican Food

Amazing food, never had a bad meal here. This rates as one of my favorite Mexican restaurants ever. Service is great and food comes out fast. Decor is old/worn but don’t let that deter you from coming in.

I think this is the restaurant I prefer over them all in Cheney. Food is always good, the girl at the front is nice but I have a poor experience ordering on the phone with her every time. Let’s talk about what’s important, the food, the chefs deserve tips! Thank you for the authentic food that cheney very much needs. I hope your business stays & thrives.

Amazing place to eat, not fancy just good food! Very accommodating for dairy allergy and the portions are huge! This will be our go-to when craving Mexican food. PS We've been here 3 years and this is the only place we've found with good salsa.

I think this place has its strengths and weaknesses because I’ve tried quite a few items and some just aren’t as good as other places (not crazy about the burrito I had but I’d be open to trying others. The enchilada I had many years ago was not good). That being said, I think their best thing to get is their chicken tacos plus the rice and beans. The chimichanga is also good and they have great carne asada fries. Giving 4 stars because I do think some things can be improved but then others are amazing

Gerardo has a nice low key atmosphere but the food is subpar. My wife’s carnitas burrito was just meat with a thin layer of guacamole. The meat didn’t really taste like carnitas. My breakfast burrito had French fries with were extremely greasy and very little eggs, but will say it was a good size and the sausage in it was tasty. Definitely disappointed in the “Authentic Mexican food.” 3/10
