Freedom Field

Limited parking so definitely arrive early for games.

My daughter played soccer here this year. It has plenty of room for multiple games at once.

It's the best love to walk on the padded trail don't know why I haven't done it before. It's so close to where I live will definitely keep going Great location I feel safe.

A great place to play: Freedom field is a community sports field in Old Ocean Springs, about 2 blocks East of the library. It is lighted some nights for YMCA seasonal sports, the Coast United soccer club, and ultimate frisbee. There is a walking track that gets muddy after rain, and a bathroom house for boys/girls. I believe there is a drinking fountain at the bathrooms. There is parking on all four sides of the field, and adequate shade around the periphery for folding chairs and coolers. Just south of the field is the inner harbor where you can buy shrimp right off the boats during the shrimping season. The only reason I have given the field 4 stars is the indifferent drainage, and occasional mosquito issues in warm weather.

My son played soccer here when he was a little boy. I love this field. The Ocean Springs YMCA used this field to coach soccer. Great memories!
