The is first an historical site, it hosted many Family Reunions, Social events, Musical events and Church gathering. I like going there to have a quiet lunch on good days to watch the Mothers bring their little ones to play and run off some of that energy. I love the location and the overall view of the Park and how well it's kept. It's slowly becoming a meeting place for the homeless unfortunately, but for the most part they mind their own business. I love it as a Black Family meeting place in Muskogee, because it's in what is originally known as our area, but it's open to all.
Nice playground equipment. Park with lots of paved paths. Even a climbing park/ropes course for people, who have climbing knowledge and equipment to scale the heights and balance.
Such a lovely place. Seems to attract weirdos but other than that it's pretty nice, two playgrounds for different age groups of children.
This park is right beside my kids school. I Love it because Bigs and littles can play and in the summer it has a good splash pad. Only bad things are their are caw caw burs(little spiky balls in the grass) in the summer so always wear shoes. Bathrooms are usually locked because of bums????. May get a occasional hobo taking a shower or just cooling off but usually nothing extreme.
Had my daughter's birthday party here, all the kids had a blast! In my opinion the splash pad at Elliot is the best one in town... My only complaint is that upon arrival there was man sleeping on air mattress right by the picnic tables. But he did pick it up when he heard/seen us and move it to other side of utility building right next to splash pad(you can see it in some pics I took of my kids ????) But overall it's a great park!
