Worst tacos you can find here in edinburg, you want good tacos go to taquería el paisano always fresh. My order took almost an hour an the "fajita" if you can call it that was dried..... Super dried tasteles with tortillas worst than the ones you get in heb an to pay 50$ for 4 orders that taste like your worst nightmare. STAY AWAY don't throw your money away, cause that's what, I did threw them all in the trash

I loved it the atmosphere was nice and calm and the food was super tasty the waiters,cashiers, and managers are so nice .For the overall you should try it and it’s very good????????

Went to the new location when it wasn’t busy and the service was horrible. Took forever to get our drinks and place our food order. We waited 30 mins then asked how much longer it was going to take for our food to be ready. The manager walked away quickly (ignored our concern) and the waitress tells us that she FORGOT to place our order. Decided to leave and go to another restaurant. When we first sat down a man was complaining that he had waited 30 mins and the food hadn’t came out, he and his son ended up leaving. Poor management. They don’t seem to care that they’re losing customers.

Recommending El Porton to My valley friends! Birria tacos were so delicious and consome was just perfect. We also had bistec tacos were perfect and delicious as well. Excellent service!!!! I recommend to try their black beans with chips. Definitely visiting El Porton on our next trip.

I have come here twice with my wife and each fine our experience was the same. Food did not taste authentic or very good in any way and we have tried 4 different plates now. The atmosphere is terrible, there is a smoke/fire alarm that needs new batteries positioned directly over some of the tables customers eat and yet it keeps beep ring every 60 seconds or so and it’s been that way for weeks, maybe months, not sure how that doesn’t drive others crazy but it’s not acceptable in a dinning area. The food also took a very long time to come out each time but given how bad the food taste it can’t be due to the food being made fresh, even their horchata was made from a powder mix which is very disappointing when we’re so close to the Mexico border in these areas, everything should be authentic but it’s not.
