El Monte Taco

This is my second time here after a friend introduced me to this place a couple weeks ago. The food is very good (I’ve had the combination fajitas, steak tacos, & a pastor tostadas) and the service is quite friendly. I wish this place was closer to my house! I’d be here all the time. Fortunately I come this way regularly for work so I now have a new go-to option.

I used to like this place allot. Just ordered a steak burrito, and a glass bottle of Coke. When I got home it was all beans and rice, very little steak. Probably only a tablespoon. Called up and told the young lady about what I had. She told me to bring it back, but I couldn't because my wife had to take the car to work. She then told me that there was nothing she can do. She could have taken my name and number, and at least made an effort. Paid dang near $15.00 plus a dollar in the tip jar just to be disappointed. I hate to say it but I won't be going back anytime soon.

I've been ordering at this place for over a year now i order from this place atleast 2 times a week we order there so much the lady knows our order by heart one day ull get a burrito that is worth your money next day u get a burrito the size of a taco bell burrito not so worth your money I've called numerous times to complain but nothing ever changes now mind you I brought a burrito Today and this thing is all tortilla shell and the size of a taco we American people work hard for our money and expect what we deserve they are very inconsistent on their food so I called the lady to explain my situation and she hung up on me well little does this idiot know im bringing back this taco burrito or whatever you want to call it back in the morning for a refund we definitely will be going out of our way for now on to get consistent reliable food somewhere else sad you can't rely on local business to get consistent food this place sucks and does not care about their customers comments and have no passion for their customers I tried numerous times with no action I do not recommend this place once so ever very disappointed im forced into giving one star to post this i am not giving them any stars it's just to post

I like visiting this establishment. It's a neighborhood spot. They serve quickly with a kind smile and the refried beans are tasty (the sign of a good latino restaurant). I've had several dishes on the menu but my favorite thing to order here is some beans, rice and guacamole. These with the complimentary salsa and chips are filling and tasty and I'm good to go. My only qualm is that there's a toddler that belongs to the proprietors that is always roaming randomly around the restaurant and sometimes playing ball around the eating area. I do realize that it's a family establishment but last time he tried to relinquish me of my chips and salsa and that's a big no-no. Ever tried to take a hungry dogs bone when it's in his mouth? Yep that's the same response you'll get from me if you touch my plate while I'm eating. Heck...I don't even want you looking at it. I just might growl . Other than that I really like this place. Prices are very fare, food is good ????, restroom is clean and the staff is great. Parking available in side lot, you can watch movies while you eat and yes I will be returning????

This is not authentic Mexican. Can’t just add cilantro and onion on a burrito and call it authentic..Ordered a shrimp burrito no Mexican flavor no lime in nothing rice tastes like it came right out a box shrimp tasted like they just added salt and pepper..I could’ve just made a real authentic burrito at home but said why not skip the cooking tonight..will not be returning a waste of $12. Chipotle is way better than this they just don’t have shrimp lbs
