Very nice restaurant. Good food & friendly staff. Their hashbrowns were delicious. Cooked perfect. Will go back.

I had Edie's Favorite. The hash browns were crispy, hot and buttery. The bacon was thick and tasty. Very delicious.

Terrible customer service! Placed to-go order, was told thirty minutes. Arrived about 10 minutes early, I don't mind waiting. (I would rather be a few minutes early and wait a few extra minutes for fresh food then be a few minutes late on an order done early that is just sitting 10-15 minutes.) When I talked in the waitress gave me attitude when I asked for a pick-up, and the cashier gave me attitude, too. Told me they haven't started it and that it would be 30-45 minutes. She told me to pay now, so I did. Went and waited for 45-50 minutes (I don't live in Delano so not like I could go home to waste an hour). Went in and now they say 5-10 more minutes, with more attitude again, for an order placed 1.5 hours ago. Well, about to head in again and see if they will give me my food yet or make me wait even longer... I heard they have good food, but I might never know at this rate. Come say "hi", as I might still be sitting here in my car waiting for my order should you stop to try this place. But, no matter how good it probably isn't worth this long of wait. Homestyle food, large portions, pricing from the 90's. The takeout experience is a little odd the 1st time. I have not gotten a burger from McDowell's since discovering this place. Better taste, portions and price by a longshot.

Edie Mae's is the place to go if you want good comfort food, have a craving for some great portion authentic chinease food, or just that need for a shake that takes ya back to being a child on the hot summer day in July after riding your bike in the scorching sun all afternoon just to get there and every bead of sweat was worth it the second you take that first big gulp. The service is beyond excellent, every time I go the staff remembers me and if my daughter isn't with always tells me to say hi. If your looking for that eggat in the bucket of river rocks this is your million dollar find. Just give it a shot, but just know there is no going back. Thankfully, lol.
