Dr. Eric J. Cohen, DDS

I'm not sure what these other reviewers are talking about. I saw this dentist along with my husband on the same day. I wonder if Dr Cohen's old fashioned office makes people think that he's more knowledgeable and cheaper than he actually is. Seems to me that he makes every appointment a deep clean initially. I get that sense he tries to bill the highest code he can.Dr Cohen doeesn't explain what he's doing,he doesn't ask for consent before doing it ( providing an estimate of costs or ask for permission ). He just uses one tool to scale away. He provides probably some of the most painful cleanings you will ever experience. There's no reason for pain in 2024 for a deep cleaning. He also recommended my husband and I to go to the same associate of his so that we could both become shared patients going forward of both of them. He has a template that he provides with this referral's information because he seems to only refer to this one particular practice without asking any information about what a patient would prefer after every visit. Every dental hygienist I've ever seen has given me a more thorough and less painful cleaning.This cleaning left my feet teeth feeling gritty and I my teeth weren't flossed or polished during my visit. My husband had a bloody mouth after this visit. We both felt ill afterwards. Dr Cohen also doesn't seem aware of 21st century dental changes such as pain relief gel or antibiotics to provide to patients for deep cleanings. His hygienist just kind of sits there and laughs at his jokes like he's Conan O Brien. I wish he had trusted staff to be more than his peanut gallery and provide modern cleanings.

I went in to get a tooth extraction done and was greeted by two lovely ladies at the front desk. Very nice and professional setting, dr.cohen is very nice and knowledgeable and he took his time, and was proficient. He Explained it all to me, procedure was quick and painless. Prices are great also if you don’t have insurance. Thanks for helping me get rid of this aching tooth pain I have been dealing with!

Dr. Cohen cares about his patients' dental health and overall well-being. He demonstrates a pride in his profession which exceeds his desire to maximize billings and profits. Unlike most larger practices, he personally handles the examination, dental X-rays, and cleans each patient's teeth. Dr. Cohen is a very considerate and interesting gentleman and just generally a great guy. I've lived in 6 different metropolitan areas here in the United States and visited modern and professional Dental practices at each stop along the way. In no case have I felt that any Dentist cared more or gave more personal attention than Dr. Cohen. Also, his office location is highly walkable, easy to park near, and on the bus line.

Im very confused why there are so many good reviews I feel mislead. My experience with this dentist was somewhat terrifying. From the beginning I felt like I was teleported to 1990, the dentist never introduced himself or stood up, just rolled around to rooms. He was rude to his staff and operated in an unclean environment. I would have left immediately if I had taken the time to look around the room. I don’t typically leave bad reviews for small businesses but I believe this place needs some honest feedback to improve. And others people who are also seeking a new dentist should be aware. Outdated. Unfriendly. (Staff was amazing - that’s why 2 stars) Rough teeth cleaning. Not sanitary.

Dr Cohen is the ONLY dentist I will go to! Great prices, wonderful staff and his bedside manner is phenomenal! He is so gentle and quick! I'll go to him forever
