Great local fishing spot, no license required. Also metered parking and free parking on streets coming into and leaving the fishing pier. Nice grass park, skate park and basketball courts. During summer there is usually a ninja warrior course setup as well!

One of the less obvious parts of this complex is a bulkhead where one may fish without a license, a nice amenity. I have caught bluefish and tautog, although a main (aspirational) attraction would be fishing for flounder. Free parking is nearby; the closest parking is paid meters for $2/hour, max 12. Portapotty is also available. I did not look for food, but some within a couple of blocks. Bring your own tackle and bait however.
