Dodge Park Coney Island

This little diner had been completely renovated into a modern chic decor on the inside. While the food is diner style, it is delicious comfort food. The portions are hearty, the food is fresh, and it hits the spot for a great lunch or dinner when you are out and about. The staff is super friendly, too, and makes you feel like family.

UPDATE: 7-8-23 Too late for dinner so we met the kids. Food is pretty consistently good and they have great variety. We just like eating here a lot. We have gotten take out from here several times. This morning we decided to dine in for breakfast. That was a great idea. I have never been inside, because I have never picked up our take out, so I was expecting the standard coney island 'look. " That's not a bad thing, just an expectation. I was wrong. The inside was fresh, clean, modern and appealing. It was bigger than I expected also. The menu was extensive with several specials. There were many pancake choices, and even french toast choices. The omelette section is huge. We both had omelettes with well done hash browns. I had a corned beef and swiss, and my wife broccoli and mozzarella well done. The omelettes were awesome and the hash browns perfect. It was too much to eat, so some went with us "to go." Here's a cool trick they used. We noticed a small piece of broccoli on top of one and a small piece of corned beef on the other. That's what they do so they know which omelette is which and that's super cool. Our coffee cups were never empty, and the waitress was awesome in how she worked "alone" got everyone seen to, orders out, coffee filled etc.! Always with a smile. She also did the cash out. You should try this place. Dinners are good and now breakfast too, and the prices are in line with or slightly lower than similar restaurants. Support a well deserving local business. Back again (actually many times since my last review.) Still great still travels well (it's still good when you get it home.) The chicken strip dinner is becoming my favorite. Enough food for a chicken sandwich for lunch the next day (if you save the dinner roll and one chicken strip.) 12-3-22 Back again and again...Now I meet some friends of mine up here regularly. It's pretty consistent which means there are no surprises and the food is very good. I wasn't afraid to suggest this as a meeting spot. Had the corned beef omelette with well done HB. Made exactly how I asked and very tasty.

Oh My!!!! Shout out to my waitress LISA!! Best attitude-she checked on me but did not hover. First time here for my Self Care Saturday and they did not disappoint!.. I had the raisin french toast, they allowed me to sub eggs ???? (didn't want meat). Tea with honey and lemon. Of course, I am playing a movie on my laptop. Respectable volume and family friendly., just like the restaurant. Great jobs to the smiling chefs!!! I'll be back!

The restaurant looks newly remodeled. The wait staff is very polite. We ordered loose burgers, chili cheese fries, cheese sticks and a Coney. All of the food was good. The meat for the loose burgers wasn’t seasoned as I’m accustomed to but the toppings helped with flavor. The food was hot and the presentation was nice. They are generous with the chili. Also, our waitress was very attentive making sure we were happy with everything and available to provide refills for our drinks if we wanted refills. We will definitely return.

Been awhile since I've been here, Me and moms stopped in for dinner Had the killer Coney Omelette Cooked perfectly. Mom had the Country Omelette ???????????? Excellent as always
