Dixon's Jamaican Taste NEVER disappoints!! Indeed one of the BEST places to eat in the Burlington area!!????Truly a FAVORITE restaurant of mine!! Today my baby sister treated me to lunch and we BOTH enjoyed some of our favorites there. While she had the OXTAILS, I had the JERK CHICKEN both with their delicious CABBAGE, PLANTAIN, and RICE & PEAS!! And, both indulged in Jamaican Sodas, she with a Ting and me with a Champagne Kola! This was a beautiful warm March day, so we were comfortable enough to dine outside, which was wonderful! I haven't had anything here that wasn't good! The conch fritters are good as is the fried chicken, though I prefer the jerk chicken. My Sissy also enjoys curry chicken. In all honesty though, I could make a meal with just the rice & peas and the cabbage, it's just that good!????If you're in the Burlington, North Carolina area and looking for a tasty meal, pay these nice folks a visit! My mom took me here today for the first time and I absolutely loved my plate. She got the oxtail plate and I got the jerk wing plate (lunch special) with rice and peas, and fried plantains! The jerk wings seemed to be smoked then fried, they were well seasoned and once I dipped them in the sauce they tasted even better. The rice and peas had a great flavor and the plantains were cooked perfectly. I'm a sucker for some GOOD AUTHENTIC food and this place hit the spot! The only thing I was disappointed about was the Coco bread which tasted great it just was overcooked, either way I'll definitely be returning to try more.

We ordered Oxtails & Brown Stew Chicken The sides we purchased: Mac and cheese, cabbage , mixed vegetables, fried plantains, & Rice & peas. We also purchased a delicious immunity drink. It was so good we went back for a $2 refill. It had a tropical ginger juice flavor .. yummmm! Everything was amazing ! It was slightly pricey but truly worth the money. If you love Jamaican food then you should eat here!

Just leaving Dixon’s - two words - TERRIBLE SERVICE. In a nutshell it’s the customer service from the front staff. One person in our group was missing their order and we waited 40 - 50 minutes while new people came and went. We are patient people but when we kept asking them about the order - real talk, they absolutely did not care. Wouldn’t take anything off the bill or add a desert or anything. Super rude and I told them we will never be back. Of course they don’t care. We have a family reunion in town and could have brought in lots of people- oh well. Better food and service found elsewhere.

Delicious! Jerk chicken was perfectly tender and juicy. A little more heat (spice) would have been nice but burlington people can't handle spicy so i get it. Someone was getting a huge takeout order when I arrived (he wanted to check every single item and check it off his list and held up the line?????????) so I had to wait a while to put my order in but it was worth it. Can't wait to try the rest of the menu. I don't think the beef patties were made in house but it was still really good.
