We did not plan this outing and it was the best little surprise late lunch date. We ended up ordering a chicken salad sandwich on a croissant which tasted incredibly light, fresh, and delightful. We also got a Croquet Monsieur, which was a warm sandwich on a croissant and was also delicious. Their Milky Way latte was a nice touch to the meal as it was also light and tasted of chocolate, hazelnut, and caramel flavors. We wrapped our date up with some fresh out of the oven, warm, chocolate chip cookies. This was a great little lunch trip in Houston. Workers were friendly upon arrival and when we asked questions about the menu. It is a small location so it got crowded quickly.
A trip to Bath and Body Works led me to this cute little French bakery located just across the street. Curiosity had me walking over to take a closer look. It was lunchtime, so they were pretty crowded, but still had a few tables available. I saw delicacies in the display case that were beautiful little works of art. Everything looked so good, almost too good to eat… ALMOST. Once I ordered, I didn't have to wait long at all before receiving my chicken salad croissant sandwich. I really liked the atmosphere, the friendly employees, and of course the food, which was delicious. I left with a chicken salad croissant sandwich to go that tasted wonderful. I'll be back to try some more of the things on the menu. Great experience. If you're in the area, I recommend you stopping by to give them a try!
Nice little cafe and bakery. Always get the baguettes to go, they are great for sandwiches. All of the baked goods I’ve tried have been great and usually eat them before I snap a pic. It’s a nice spot to sit and relax and enjoy a quick treat.
Ce n’est pas For a place to sit relax or study Croissant-Brioche is a viable option. Mais s’on veux nourriture et café française ce n’est pas la. I had a croissant, latte and scone. The scone was interesting and worth revisiting because of it’s unique texture, but the latte and croissant were forgettable… which is sad because croissants are like edible moons from heaven.
Croissant-Brioche, located in Houston’s Rice Village, serves sweet and savory treats that can be eaten there or taken to go. There is inside seating as well as a few seats outside. As this is a popular bakery / cafe, there could be a wait to be served. We ordered to eat there as well as purchased a few items to go. The slice of spinach quiche was full of spinach (this reviewer was very pleased). As for the other bakery items including pistachio almond and carrot raisin muffins and a spinach-feta puff pastry, found them to be good. The pistachio almond muffin was very bright green inside; while the taste was good, would not have expected so much food coloring from a French bakery.
