I love coming here! The staff is super friendly and always willing to help and give suggestions. But they don't pester you either. They have cans of soda on hand that you can buy with cash :)

5 stars because all factors considered, this place is an absolute gem. I took my daughter and her friend here to do some painting and they had a great time. The paint and glaze color selection was good, the ceramic styles available to choose from were also really good. The shop operator was kind and accommodating even though she had her darling grandchildren to attend to. Customer service was on point. Friendly, informative and responsive. The pricing is fantastic! The place is a little no frills, but honestly I prefer lower frills and better pricing. All 3 of us painted decently sized figures for a total of $50ish. At a place up north, it would have been at least $50 per person and the stuff we'd have painted would have been just small dust collectors. I loved the balance offered here. If I were to offer advice for improvement, I would like to see small squares that demonstrate what the glazes look like after being fired. I have seen that done in other studios and I really like having that tangible example to reference. I would also like to see sponges offered for paintbrush dabbing or wiping away glaze. I felt a little guilty because I used up a lot of napkins taking the darker glaze off of my tree's points to make way for the lighter glaze. Great little secret of Osawatomie Kansas. Very therapeutic hobby, friendly owners and just a fun little relaxing place to buy already made ceramic sculptures or make your own.
