Steer clear of this place. Food for both of us was undercooked, eggs and chicken. When owner/mgr asked if chicken fried in same oil as fish, he said “we haven’t served any fish today.” Funny how the person two tables over was eating fish. The food was not good. The building and the sidewalks are a hazard, and we were blatantly too. Don’t waste your time or money.
The beef Manhattan was excellent! Red potatoes were used for mashed potatoes. The shredded roast and the bread was so fresh. Portions are very generous. And the price! I can’t see how they can provide an exceptional meal at the low of price. Service was excellent. Atmosphere has a rural diner feel. This is a must try in Muncie.
The food was amazingly fresh. Nothing was processed. Our food was as it should be,hot, fresh and juicy. The owner even made an appearance at our table to say hello. Comfortable atmosphere. Service was as prompt as humanly possible in a restaurant. I will definitely be returning! ?????????????
We had a nice little girls breakfast on a Sunday morning. Arrived a little after 11 and only had a five minute wait. We were seated in the very back, a large open room and it was perfect! Out there it wasn't too loud even though there was a pretty packed house. The fresh squeezed OJ was delicious! And worth the $4.99/cup. We split a carrot cake waffles which was also very good! I had the fillet eggs Benedict which was good! The meat wasn't a fillet though, much too tough to be a fillet and they never asked how I would like it cooked. One friend has the brisket eggs Benedict and she said it was good as well. The other friend had an omelet and fruit with sourdough which she said was good too! Our server was nice, attentive and let us have our space to talk and enjoy each other's company. When we left it was super busy and they had several people waiting for tables so I recommend getting there before 11:20 if you don't want to have a long wait. They're also opening a location in Richmond,IN. So there is another option if you're in that area. Great option for breakfast in Muncie, would recommend!
By hand and fork. This was my first visit here. As soon as I walked in the host assumed that I was with somebody else. Didn't even look at me and said table for two. He then went ahead and seated the other person with two menus. I ordered the ribeye plate for breakfast. It was not seasoned properly. I told the waitress and she said next time you come in ask for extra seasoning on your ribeye. The eggs were good. The waitress didn't smile at me once. It didn't look like she was loving her job at the moment. I think she has a hearing problem because I told her I didn't want any drink and then she asked me repeatedly after that if I wanted to drink. I don't think I'll be visiting by hand and fork. Didn't feel too special on my first visit here.
