Busy Bee Café

I give this restaurant five stars because it was just quaint, simple and like going back in time. The food was awesome. They have fare like salads, hamburgers, and barbecue. The barbecue was amazing. The bathrooms were super clean and the employees were friendly and attentive. If I’m ever in Cullman again I will return!

I should have read the reviews first. ???? If they don't want to buck tradition and change the recipe for their prison slop burgers, that's cool. But based on the reviews, there have been far too many poor unsuspecting victims of that meatless monstrosity. I'm going to say what several others have already said here, PLEASE explain your recipe on the menu. When you order a burger off a diner menu, unless otherwise noted, this science experiment is unacceptable.

Ordered a cheeseburger and I'm honestly not even sure that the patty was made of meat. Very weird texture and flavor. My server was very lovely though, just wish the burgers were good.

The quaint diner atmosphere was there, no doubt. However, the coffee was so weak it looked and tasted like dirty water. The wait staff was some of the rudest people I have come across. Simple obvious requests, like for utensils, for example, were met with a hostile tossing on the table and an attitude that made me feel unwelcome. We gave them a second try and were disappointed on this day as well. They were out of basic diner necessities like biscuits and eggs. They were still serving dishwater coffee, maybe a habit of stretching the coffee to save money or reusing the coffee grounds. My husband wanted to love this place so much, but I can't see paying for subpar food, rude service, and limited menu, regardless of how much a $2.50 burger seems like a deal. I get the nostalgia of this place, but I would not recommend it to anyone.

Good place to eat if you don’t mind the type of hamburgers they make. We like them even though there not 100% meat.
