Bubby's of Middlesboro

Hungry travelers to the Cumberland Gap area, would do well to check out, newly opened Bubby's Barbecue, 912 N. 12th St, Middlesboro, KY. The restaurant features a well-stocked meat & vegetable selection fixed country-style. I sampled the fried chicken, ribs on the meat bar. While the chicken was a tad too oily, it was tasty. The ribs were good. My wife tried a favorite, chicken livers and was pleased. The vegetable bar had good Kale, with a moderately spicy seasoning I liked. My wife enjoyed the grits. I was impressed with the veggie selection. The desert area had about 4 choices of good Blue Bell ice cream - instead of the usual soft-serve mediocrity. I especially like banana pudding. In short, this place offers a good value for the price. The buffet price, 14.99, includes a drink. The servers are friendly and attentive. The restrooms were clean. I would not hesitate to stop here again.

Enjoyed the friendly feel of this place. I decided to go with the buffet instead of ordering from the menu. I had fried chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans & macaroni & cheese. Also had a salad. Got a senior discount. Better than fast food.

Worth every penny! The food was so good, staff was very friendly and had the down home feel that many miss with new restaurants of today. The buffet has a great variety of good ole country cooking. The meatloaf was delightful and the fried green tomatoes were a great treat. I'm willing to drive from Bristol TN just to eat here.

Saw sever negative reviews online but gave them a chance any way. Glad we did. We were met by a hostess as soon as we walked in and seated immediately. The dining room was over half full at the time. Everything on the buffet was very good and there was plenty of it. $12.71 out the door for an all you can eat buffet including drink it a good deal. Our waitress did a great job. Check them out. 12/14/23.

The sign said ribs all day. We were excited that a local restaurant offered a rib buffet. No ribs on the buffet. We asked for a menu but they only offer buffet style food. Would have liked a juicy hamburger as a second choice. No reduced price was offered. The waitress was very friendly and apologized for not having the ribs. Call ahead if you want to see if they have any ribs. Large open room so you're not cramped in like some restaurants.
