This is a very nice Indian-Asian grocery store located at Gateway plaza. Bhavani translates like “Giver Of Life” and it is truly a giver. Very clean and have a great variety of vegetables, fruits, flour, rice and many more wonderful items. They have the best fresh okra selection , eggplants, coconuts, honey, spices and incenses. Sales associates are very nice & attentive people. This store is packed with all kind of unique snacks and hard to find items for the recipes like fresh lemon grass. Strongly recommend the Bhavani store if you are looking for a nice Indian-Asian store in the area.
I recently visited this local grocery store known for its reasonable prices. However, my experience was marred by a rather disheartening discovery: a display of tomatoes afflicted with fungus, intermingled with seemingly healthy produce. This sight was not only disappointing but also unappetizing. Consequently, I opted to forgo purchasing tomatoes altogether, which was regrettable as I had intended to include them in my shopping list. Despite this setback, the store boasts an extensive selection of vegetables and other grocery items, all neatly organized for easy browsing. Moreover, the staff members were notably friendly and approachable, enhancing the overall shopping experience. Nevertheless, I believe there is room for improvement in the store's handling of perishable items. It is imperative for them to exercise greater caution and diligence in monitoring the quality of their produce, ensuring that items afflicted with spoilage or fungus are promptly removed from the shelves. This not only preserves the store's reputation for providing fresh, high-quality goods but also fosters trust and satisfaction among customers. In conclusion, while the grocery store offers competitive prices, a more stringent approach to quality control, particularly regarding produce, would greatly enhance the overall shopping experience and customer satisfaction.
They have the freedom to change expiration dates and move things around per their convenience to make sales. I can never find good onions in this place. Tomatoes also are bad when laid out. The DOH should pay a random visit.
The store smells bad. Not very much variety of groceries and some of the groceries don’t look fresh. Rather prefer Patel over this store.
How can we report this?? So there is a potential shortage expected in rice from India. So most shops have put in a 1 item limit for rice bags. Which is understandable, to avoid hoarding of products. But this shop uses this excuse to force customers to spend minimum of $25 before they can have the ability to buy a bag of.rice So we were here today mainly to buy 1 bag of rice and some veggies. The rude cashier snapped at me and later at an elderly gentleman bcoz we did not "qualify" to buy rice bcoz we hadn't spend their minimum spend. Isn't this illegal and how can we report them. We didn't want to support their practice of forcing customers to spend a minimum before they can have the privilege of buying rice. So we left without buying
