Bernie's On Main Street

We just had our son's Wedding Rehearsal Dinner at Bernie's for 100 people! Wow...we had the sweetest experience!! The Food was beautiful and absolutely delicious! The staff just loved and cared for our guests so intentionally! They had a projector and screen for the video memories of our sweet couple! It was festive and beautiful! We highly recommend Bernie's on Main for your special events! Our family is forever grateful!

Rating based on the not-so-good food; the service was excellent. First off, I was disappointed in the fact that they are in the process of changing their menu. Their website described a potentially good sounding Reuben. Got there to find out lunch option limited to meat & two. The hostess was very nice in explaining the transitional menu status. She even offered me a view of the hot bar before sitting down. It smelled good, but did not taste good. I must say that they have the BEST macaroni and cheese I have ever had away from home. The great service and mac & cheese salvaged a sour lunch experience into an okay one. Mulligan this time, but I'll try again later. Great service beats mediocre food any day.

Wonderful lunch experience. Food was fresh and tasted great. Perfect blend of seasonings. Took the waiters suggestions and was not disappointed. Great price and friendly service. The owner was in the store as he said he is daily. He was a very nice Pisano with deep roots in Italy. We will be back even though it's 50 miles from our home.

This place definitely caters to the older crowd, not that we're spring chickens. For the most part, this is buffet style dining with a meat and three pricing arrangement. The buffet is fairly limited in selection, and some of the vegetables were canned. Pricing is based on the number of items you select for your plate. The food is okay, but we are not likely to dine there again.

I know this is a popular local place, but we've been a few times and I just don't get it. The food is...not great. It feels like it's trying to be some fancy restaurant, but it just isn't. The menu seems ok, though there are a few things that are a little ridiculous (really, a grilled salad wedge?). The servers are friendly, but they seem to be held back by the kitchen. We were there for like 2 hours, while our orders trickled out one at a time. And then the food just wasn't very good. Some was ok, like the cheese grits and BBQ. Some was nearly inedible, like the chicken salad and mozzarella sticks. And the prices are outrageous. Even if it was cooked well, the price is considerably higher than I would expect for the same food at a much nicer restaurant. But I guess if you're the only place in town...
