B & F Diner

As with most places, people continue to not be able to fully staff businesses. I had the chicken and rice, turnips, fried okra and cornbread. My friend had fried shrimp with fries and slaw. My rice was gummy and the greens were kind of sweet. My friend’s food was just right. The service was good for me (I got there before she did) but she didn’t get her drink for a while. It was lunchtime when we got there so it was busy. We dis enjoy our meal.

We only saw our waitress to order our food and when she dropped it off. The food was below average. Either is had no seasoning or way to much. I ordered hamburger steak with onions and gravy, which was a frozen patty with powder mix gravy. The Black eyed peas were can and way to salty also the chicken and dumplings were yellow and extremely salty due to, to many bullion cubes. We tried the restaurant because it is a staple restaurant in Baxley. However we will not return because if we are going to pay over $30.00 for a meal I at least want it to be eatable.

First time at this place. Noticed a lot of customers pickups in parking lot. Got my usual breakfast grits eggs and bacon $7.95 total. No problems with cleanliness the help was very efficient. Might add looking like a lot of older folks were enjoying themselves. Heard one called by name as he came in the door.

The food is good, but be prepared to wait. Just waited in line 10 + mins to watch somebody order in front of me and then sit there while there was a line of people behind them in the drive thru. Why not have them pull around until food is ready and let others order? Slowest service ever.

I love eating here. They have a wide variety of menu items that you could consider country cooking. I love eating their chef salad with two chicken fillets. Their servers are attentive and well-mannered. You should stop by sometime and give them a try!
