Athens Cafe

The food is average but you get a fair amount for a decent price. The service is great, but they had music on (it was a Friday evening) and it was so loud that we couldn't have a conversation. It was great music, but it was way too loud. You used to have to pay up front but they changed it to where you pay at the table now and I love that.

We made a quick trip to Athens and wanted a good breakfast. The Athens Cafe gave us what we were looking for! I had the Chicken Fried Steak and eggs. The batter is great, and the gravy was perfect. Both our eggs came out as we had requested. Toast, grits, bacon, and tomatoes were all good! Really good coffee! We would definitely suggest stopping by if you are in the area.

I've been wanting to stop in there for years because of the great reviews and finally did and it did not disappoint! Everything was perfect and delicious!

Athens Cafe has been consistently good, actually great for many years. The Mexican/American food is really just like I remember my Mom's cooking. My Mom was the Best. However if you are looking for a good homemade meal, this is for sure the place to go. I personally love their veggies and Sunday buffet breakfasts the best. The staff has always been kind and quick to make sure you are served. I hope they are in Athens for many more years.

Probably one of the best biscuits I've ever found, so soft, warm, and buttery. ???????? My daughter really liked her ham omelette. Everyone in my group enjoyed their meal. Coffee was refilled, server was friendly and service was fairly quick in general. Plenty of parking
