Arizona Pete's

As a first time visitor but long time dancer, this place was so-so. I loved the atmosphere/decor, but the bathrooms were filthy and almost all of the stall doors didn't work. There are no rules on the floor, so drinks were allowed on the floor (not a safe practice for dancers) and people standing on the floor, which limits dance space. The instructor was good though and the music fun, and I met a couple of nice people.

I am from Florida and we visited from out of town. I go to country/ ballroom dancing a lot in Jacksonville and Orlando. And part of a line dance group, we don’t play much if any rap when we dance so I was shocked the music was better last time we came. I give it 3 stars because I came here once in 2023. They played Neon Moon, Watermelon Crawl and a few classics within the first hour. Lots of classic country music then and miss that at these line dance bars to dance to. But tonight that NC old country charm was missing and was replaced by a bunch of songs I had never even heard before. (I also get it if you’re 32 they come out with new things and you don’t know what they are. But I barely knew of the songs here except the actual country ones which were few). So I really only danced to maybe 3 songs and the lesson. Danced to a lot more songs that were classic country last time and this time the music was catered more towards people 21-24. And then last time we came the country music lasted all the way until 12:30z So got a good workout in and came home. This time they did maybe an hour and a half and then it was rap and then one country song every 20 minutes and then I couldn’t stand the music after 11. But in 2023 they started the club music @ 12:30 versus earlier. Also was hoping tonight they’d play Neon Moon, Shivers or I See Country But didn't play any of them. I gave up. Not sure what happened after 11 cause I went home ????

Initially had a great time, but the experience went downhill when a fight broke out and my friend was asked to leave despite not being involved at all. The drinks were good overall. One downside was that the barista was openly flirting with my husband while I was standing right there. I assume it may have been an attempt to earn better tips, so I didn’t take it too personally, but it was still uncomfortable. Be mindful of the dress code, as it appears to be enforced more strictly for men. I saw someone turned away for wearing ripped jeans, and T-shirts are not allowed. Women, on the other hand, seem to have much more flexibility and can wear anything from casual outfits to full party attire.

i didn’t eat while i was here, so i can’t review it based on food or service. i’m a sucker for a good theme & i love the western theme. the decor was really cuteee. this was my second club experience & limelight was my first & i did not enjoy limelight at all. but i like pete’s because the music was actually stuff i listen to & the dj knew what to play. people say if you don’t go to the club drunk or high you’ll have an awful time—but i really think it depends on the music , because i am a sober queen & i danced the night away at pete’s. only thing i would say, was that smoke or fog they blow when the beat drops? almost killed me ????, i have asthma & wasn’t expecting it & i stood DIRECTLY. under it. i didn’t ride the bull this time but next time im on that!

Only open on fridays, line dancing until around 11 or 12. Then the floor opens up to everyone to dance how they want! $5 cover fee but so worth it
