Arctic Bar

Came here 7 years when I worked on ships. And immediately came back. Nothing has changed and it's great. Fun music in the background. Lovely bartenders and funny locals. Always have a couple of beers and bloody Mary's on special too. $5 beers! You can order food from across the way and they bring it in for you. They don't mind you eating it there. They even have their menus in there to help you out. Oh and if you are easily offended don't go here ????

This place is waterfront at the cruise port and has a huge sign for $3.50 beers. Clearly, it’s a must visit in Ketchikan. The bear theme carries through the bar all the way to their Happy Bears brew. It’s a slightly hoppy lager, and I had no complaints. Server was super nice and the deck overlooks the ships. Awesome spot.

The Arctic Bar is one of the bests spot in Ketchikan… You just can’t miss it! It’s one of the oldest bars in town, with an awesome view right by the port. The vibe is great, the music is on point, and the staff is super friendly. And Paula, the owner, is simply amazing! Huge thanks for your kindness and hospitality, you make this place extra special! Friendly place to have a couple of pints, shoot some pool or people watch from the outside area. Probably gets busy when there are cruise ships in port. It’s one of the many bars we hit when we are in town for a day before we go out to Thorne Bay fishing. They don’t have food but you can order from Burger Queen and they will deliver. The burgers are good. Always a great stop if just bar hoping after getting off the cruise ship.

Pretty rough place. Needs maintenance pretty bad. I know we stopped in due to the humorous Happy Bears logo. Excellent location. It was one of the very first places we came across after stepping off our cruise ship. The place was pretty empty the whole time we were there, but the bartender was trying to run the bar and souvenir area at the same time. She actually yelled for help a few times before the others standing at the office door actually walked over to attend folks trying to buy souvenirs. There is NO table service. Bar walkup only!
