Alderman Park

Great dog park. Very large with lots of grass. Very well maintained. Stay out of the river. The city of Dayton's wastewater discharge is located here.

FULL of trash in the trail area. Poorly maintained, my dogs enjoyed it, of course, but i did not. Pretty in the park area as well.

Cool place to bring your pups to off all that energy!

I visited for the first time today. Thank Dayton, for the development of this project. I liked being able to use either the dog runs or the trails, and my grandpups had fun! ?????????????

One side of park on Dayton side has easy river access including concrete steps down to water even at it's low summer level,as well as a boat ramp. The closest home offers kayak rentals which makes it easy for all to explore even if you don't own a boat or watercraft. A huge wooden foot bridge connects to dog park on East side of bridge as well as Vintages R.V.Park... Picnic tables are conveniently located near river.
